NEWS ALERT: Public Facilities District Approves New Lease with Seattle Mariners

The Public Facilities District Board has approved a new 25-year lease with the Seattle Mariners, along with a companion Team Non-Relocation Agreement. The Board also approved executing a funding agreement and financing amendment with King County that provide public resources for necessary infrastructure at the ballpark. The current lease for Safeco Field expires at the end of 2018.

 

The new lease terms strengthen public benefits from the Mariners use of Safeco Field, and they will maintain and improve the park so it remains one of the best ballparks in the country.
